The Hunter's cave is one of the main landmarks in the suburbs of the Bolshoye Goloustnoye settlement located at the shore of Lake Baikal. The unique and the most interesting cave of the Baikal region was accidentally discovered in 2006. Discovery of the underground world has become a very significant event. The depth of the cave is up to 77 meters. Large cavities are high as a seven-floor building, the halls are up to 75 meters high, and wells are over 40 meters in depth. 5.7 km of cave passages are mapped, and that's not the end! The cave arches are remarkable with fancy calcite stalactites of different colors and shapes. There are stalagnates - stalagmites and stalactites that have grown together into columns. There a lot of carrollites, you can take a look at the calcite rain. Unlike most other famous caves of the Baikal caves where stalactites are rare, there a lot of stalactites in the Hunter's cave, they cover even walls. Some areas of the cave are trails of the most ancient life on the planet - hardened ancient seaweed of minimum 540 million years old. This trip will become a real discovery for you and memories of it would last for many years as you travel to this natural wonder by quadricycle.
